History

The idea behind setting up a pre school came while Mrs. Harpreet Kaur (Ma.B.ed),founder of tinytots Foundation school was searching for a good kindergarten for her own child. She looked for a school providing ample space for chidren to breathe in fresh air, classrooms equipped with a lot of learning tools.Unable to zero in on a good school, she was prompted to start her own venture with just 2 students on board. Her relevant degree in education helped her further to consolidate her position as an educationist. The journey of starting with just 2 students to becoming the most sorted out pre school in Tricity was not easy. The 35 years of experience had its own flip flops but the help from her Civil Engg.husband and people who trusted her, made her cover this journey with great resilience. This hardwork finally paid off when in 1999 a society to take up pre schooling to a different level was made and registered in the pious memory of her father in law and a social reformer ,Late sardar Jahangir Singh. Sardar Jahangir Singh Memorial Educational Society is a venture undertaken by group of well educated persons of diversified background. The initiative has been taken for the benefit of society in general with the sole purpose of promoting educational and social welfare activities. The society has been registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860 and alloted number 23 in 1999. SJSMES has been constituted in the pious memory of Late Sardar Jahangir Singh Ji who was a great Philanthropist and a social worker. His love for the child education prompted him to help many children financially during their studies.
